Sam Roberts Day 8, Calgary, AB
Today is the last show of the western run, and Calgary is good place to be, and we have the night off here too.
Again, the day was smooth. It went by pretty fast with all the running back and forth to press, meet and greets, soundchecks, hotels, show, etc...
It felt good to be done after, moreso today than other days because I got us reservations at Saltlik, the best steakhouse in Canada, and we all share that opinion. We were really excited to head over there, and we were not let down. As usual, we had killer cuts of beef, great food, drinks, desserts, everything was great. It was nice to have a night when we could just relax and head to the hotel when we were ready.
After dinner, I went out with a couple of the guys to a place called HiFi where I met up with a friend from the road, but we couldn't stay out too late because we had an early flight to Montreal in the morning... Oh well, almost had a free night...
