Why is this so hard people?
It's hard enough for indie bands with little to no financial support as it is without people being idiots.
It's very common for bands to go around towns in the weeks before shows to put up posters as advertisement. Every band has done it, it's not rocket science. It takes a lot of time and it's not the most enjoyable job in the world, but we all do it just because. It's a necessary evil.
What is even more evil is when another band comes around right after you and puts a poster not beside, not above, not below, but DIRECTLY OVER your posters. It's even worse when it's a band who you thought were your friends. We're all in this together. There is no reason whatsoever to disrespect other people like that. We're not in competition. When one band does well it's good for everyone. We go to each others shows and support each other, yet some idiots out there feel it necessary to screw the rest of us. Why? No reason I can think of. It's not only frustrating but you're essentially backstabbing people who you will turn around and call your "friend". It's no wonder local scenes are shit sometimes.
Is it really so hard to work together and have respect for each other? Think about that the next time I have to cover one of your posters, but then again, I wouldn't do that because I respect the other bands I share a stage with.
